Dibutyryl-cAMP inhibits neuronal glucose uptake via PKA activation. [1] In cultured rat hepatocytes, Dibutyryl-cAMP inhibits inducible nitric oxide synthase expression and NF-kappaB-binding activity. [2] Dibutyryl-cAMP also suppress TNFalpha-induced hepatocyte apoptosis by inhibiting FADD up-regulation.
